Þessi lög kveða á um aðlögun Íslands að loftslagsbreytingum og skyldu til að útbúa aðgerðaáætlun. Lögin hafa áhrif á stjórnvöld og opinberar stofnanir sem þurfa að grípa til ráðstafana til að takast á við afleiðingar loftslagsbreytinga.
