Atvinnuleysistryggingarlögin veita fjárhagslega aðstoð til einstaklinga sem missa vinnuna og uppfylla ákveðin skilyrði. Lögin ná til allra launafólks á Íslandi sem hefur greitt í atvinnuleysistryggingasjóð og er vinnulaust.
The unemployment insurance law provides financial assistance to individuals who lose their jobs and meet certain eligibility requirements. The law covers all employees in Iceland who have contributed to the unemployment insurance fund and become unemployed.
