Þessi lög heimila Íslandi að undirrita og fullgilda þriðju valfrjálsu bókunina við barnasáttmála Sameinuðu þjóðanna. Bókunin víkkar réttindi barna og veitir þeim auknar lögverndarleiðir á alþjóðavettvangi.
This law authorizes Iceland to sign and ratify the third optional protocol to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The protocol expands children's rights and provides them with additional legal protection mechanisms at the international level.
