Þessi lög stofna og stjórna Hálendisþjóðgarði á hálendi Íslands til að vernda náttúru og landslag svæðisins. Lögin hafa áhrif á alla sem ferðast um eða stunda starfsemi á hálendinu, þar á meðal ferðamenn, landeigendur og fyrirtæki.
This law establishes and governs the Highland National Park in Iceland's highlands to protect the natural environment and landscape of the area. The law affects everyone who travels through or conducts activities in the highlands, including tourists, landowners, and businesses.
