Almenn hegningarlög eru grundvallarlög sem skilgreina hvað telst glæpur á Íslandi og hvaða refsingar eru lagðar á. Lögin ná til allra sem brjóta refsilög á Íslandi, hvort sem þeir eru íslenskir ríkisborgarar eða útlendingar.
