Barnaverndarlög vernda réttindi og velferð barna á Íslandi. Lögin gilda um öll börn undir 18 ára aldri og fjölskyldur þeirra, og veita barnaverndarþjónustu heimild til að grípa inn í þegar barn er í hættu.
The Child Protection Act protects the rights and welfare of children in Iceland. The law applies to all children under 18 years of age and their families, and authorizes child protection services to intervene when a child is at risk.
