Þessi lög heimila byggingu nýs þjóðarsjúkrahúss á Keldum. Lögin hafa áhrif á alla Íslendinga sem þurfa sérhæfða sjúkrahúsþjónustu og heilbrigðisstarfsmenn sem starfa við þjóðarsjúkrahúsið.
