Þessi lög kveða á um stofnun og starfsemi Þróunarsjóðs námsgagna sem styrkir þróun og útgáfu námsefnis fyrir íslenska skóla. Sjóðurinn hefur áhrif á útgefendur, höfunda og nemendur með því að bæta gæði og framboð á íslenskum námsefni.
