Þessi lög kveða á um að dómarar skuli skrá hagsmuni sína og fjárhagsleg tengsl til að tryggja gagnsæi og koma í veg fyrir hagsmunaárekstra. Lögin eiga við um alla dómara á Íslandi og krefjast þess að þeir upplýsi um fjárhagslegra hagsmuni og tengsl sem gætu haft áhrif á dómstarf þeirra.
This law requires judges to register their interests and financial connections to ensure transparency and prevent conflicts of interest. The law applies to all judges in Iceland and requires them to disclose financial interests and relationships that could affect their judicial work.
