Almenn hegningarlög eru grundvöllur refsiréttar á Íslandi og skilgreina hvað telst glæpur og hvaða refsingar geta fylgt brotum. Lögin ná til allra sem fremja refsiverð brot á Íslandi, hvort sem um er að ræða íslenska ríkisborgara eða útlendinga.
