Þessi lög fjalla um að veita atvinnuleyfi til erlendra starfsmanna þegar skortur er á starfsfólki á íslenskum vinnumarkaði. Lögin heimila útlendingum að fá vinnuleyfi í störfum þar sem ekki næst nægilegt starfsfólk innanlands.
This law addresses the issuance of work permits to foreign workers when there is a shortage of personnel in the Icelandic labor market. The law allows foreigners to obtain work permits for jobs where sufficient domestic workforce cannot be found.
