Þessi lög heimila Íslandi að undirrita og fullgilda valfrjálsa bókun við alþjóðasamning um efnahagsleg, félagsleg og menningarlega réttindi. Bókunin styrkir vernd þessara réttinda og gefur einstaklingum betri möguleika á að leita réttar síns á alþjóðavettvangi.
This law authorizes Iceland to sign and ratify an optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The protocol strengthens protection of these rights and provides individuals with better opportunities to seek redress at the international level.
