A bill to ban commercial blood collection from pregnant mares to produce the hormone PMSG for fertility drugs. The ban covers selling mare blood and processing it for sale, with penalties for violations. The EFTA Surveillance Authority has indicated that current practices violate EU directives on protection of animals used for scientific purposes.
