Þessi lög fela í sér samningsviðauka nr. 16 við Evrópska mannréttindasáttmála frá 1950. Viðaukinn bætir við eða breytir ákvæðum upprunalega sáttmálans um vernd mannréttinda og mannfrelsis og á við um alla einstaklinga undir lögsögu Íslands.
This law incorporates Protocol No. 16 to the European Convention on Human Rights from 1950. The protocol adds to or modifies provisions of the original convention on the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms and applies to all individuals under Iceland's jurisdiction.
