Barnabætur eru mánaðarlegar greiðslur sem ríkið veitir foreldrum eða forráðamönnum barna til að styðja við uppeldi og framfærslu barna. Lögin ná til allra barna sem búa á Íslandi og eiga rétt á þessum bótum til 18 ára aldurs.
Child benefits are monthly payments provided by the state to parents or guardians to support child-rearing and maintenance costs. The law covers all children residing in Iceland and entitles them to these benefits until the age of 18.
