Þessi lög kveða á um slysatryggingar sem eru hluti af almannatryggingakerfinu og veita vernd gegn slysum. Lögin ná til allra sem búa á Íslandi og eiga rétt á almannatryggingum.
This law establishes accident insurance as part of the social security system and provides protection against accidents. The law applies to all residents of Iceland who are entitled to social security benefits.
