Þessi lög fjalla um útgjöld Tryggingastofnunar ríkisins, sem er stofnunin sem sér um greiðslu lífeyris, örorkubóta og annarra tryggingabóta til íslenskra ríkisborgara. Lögin hafa áhrif á alla sem eiga rétt á bótum frá Tryggingastofnun.
