Þessi lög setja reglur um starfsemi stjórnmálasamtaka á Íslandi, þar á meðal um skipulag þeirra, fjármögnun og skýrslugjöf. Lögin ná til allra stjórnmálaflokka og stjórnmálahreyfinga sem starfa í landinu.
