Þessi lög fjalla um rétt foreldra til orlofs í tengslum við fæðingu eða ættleiðingu barns. Lögin ákvarða lengd orlofs, greiðslur og skyldur vinnuveitenda og gilda um alla starfsmenn á Íslandi sem eignast barn.
This law governs parents' rights to leave in connection with the birth or adoption of a child. The law determines the length of leave, payments, and obligations of employers, and applies to all employees in Iceland who have children.
