Frumvarpið framlengir gildistíma laga um vernd mikilvægra innviða á Reykjanesskaga, nr. 84/2023, til 1. janúar 2027. Lögin veita dómsmálaráðherra heimild til að samþykkja byggingu varnargarða til að verja innviði fyrir náttúruvá frá eldstöðvakerfum.
The bill extends the validity period of the Act on the Protection of Critical Infrastructure on the Reykjanes Peninsula, no. 84/2023, until January 1, 2027. The law authorizes the Justice Minister to approve construction of protective barriers to safeguard infrastructure from natural hazards related to volcanic systems.
