Frumvarp til breytinga á lögum um þingsköp Alþingis nr. 55/1991 um undirbúningsnefnd og framtíðarnefnd. Frumvarpið gerir það skylt fyrir starfandi forseta að skipa níu manna undirbúningsnefnd til að rannsaka kosningar í stað þess að það sé eingöngu heimilt. Nefndin fær skýrar valdheimildir til að kalla eftir upplýsingum frá stjórnvöldum og rannsaka kjörgögn. Framtíðarnefndin er framlengd til 31. desember 2025 eftir kosningarnar 30. nóvember 2024.
Bill to amend the Parliamentary Rules of Procedure Act no. 55/1991 regarding preparation committee and future committee. The bill makes it mandatory for the acting speaker to appoint a nine-member preparation committee to investigate elections instead of it being optional. The committee receives clear powers to request information from authorities and examine electoral documents. The future committee is extended until 31 December 2025 following the 30 November 2024 elections.
