Endurskoðunin skal fara yfir skyldur ríkisins, lagastoð, kostnað og hagkvæmni núverandi fyrirkomulags þar sem Kirkjugarðar Reykjavíkurprófastsdæma hafa rekið bálstofu í Fossvogi síðan 1948. Einnig skal meta hvort tilefni sé til útboðs eða annarra breytinga vegna mengunarvarna.
Request to the state auditor for an administrative audit of crematorium operations that are financed by the state treasury. The audit shall review state obligations, legal basis, costs and efficiency of the current arrangement where Reykjavík Cemetery Districts have operated the crematorium in Fossvogur since 1948. It should also assess whether there is justification for tendering or other changes due to pollution control issues.
