Lögin tryggja réttindi starfsmanna sem flytjast milli stofnana í kjölfar endurskipulagningar á velferðarþjónustu. Starfsmenn Barnaverndarstofu færast sjálfkrafa yfir til nýrrar Barna- og fjölskyldustofu með sömu ráðningarkjörum og áður. Starfsmenn Gæða- og eftirlitsstofnunar félagsþjónustu og barnaverndar (fyrir utan þá sem vinna með réttindagæslu fatlaðs fólks) færast til nýrrar Gæða- og eftirlitsstofnunar velferðarmála, einnig með sömu kjörum. Lögin tóku gildi strax 30. desember 2021 til að undirbúa stofnanaskiptin sem tóku gildi 1. janúar 2022.
This law secures the rights of employees transferring between agencies following a reorganization of welfare services. Employees of the Child Protection Agency automatically transfer to the new Child and Family Agency with the same employment terms. Employees of the Quality and Supervisory Agency for Social Services and Child Protection (except those working with advocacy for disabled persons) transfer to the new Quality and Supervisory Agency for Welfare Services, also maintaining their existing terms. The law took immediate effect on December 30, 2021, to prepare for the institutional changes that came into force on January 1, 2022.
