Lögin framlengja gildistíma bráðabirgðaákvæðis um vörugjöld sem tengist ökutækjum og eldsneyti. Upphaflega átti ákvæðið að gilda á árunum 2022–2023, en með þessari breytingu er gildistíminn framlengdur til 1. október 2024. Þetta hefur áhrif á þá sem kaupa eða nota ökutæki og eldsneyti, þar sem gjaldskráin sem gilti áður helst í gildi í lengri tíma. Lögin tóku gildi strax við samþykkt 31. janúar 2024.
This law extends the validity period of a temporary provision concerning product charges related to vehicles and fuel. The provision was originally set to apply during 2022–2023, but this amendment extends it until October 1, 2024. This affects those who purchase or use vehicles and fuel, as the previous fee structure remains in effect for a longer period. The law entered into force immediately upon approval on January 31, 2024.
