This law changes the validity period of driver's licenses for older drivers. Starting at age 70, the validity period gradually shortens according to age, with those aged 70–75 receiving a ten-year validity period while those 90 and older receive only a one-year validity period. Previously, full licenses were valid for 15 years regardless of age. The change affects all drivers aged 70 and above who will need to renew their licenses more frequently than before.
