This law amends the terms of the Student Loan Fund regarding study grants and loan repayments. The main changes are that study grants can now amount to up to 30% reduction of the loan principal, with borrowers earning 20% grants at the end of each academic year and an additional 10% upon graduation. Interest terms on student loans are changed so that rates are based on a three-year weighted average of government bond yields, and the treasury covers interest costs during studies. Borrowers with older H-loans can choose to convert their loans to the new interest terms until April 2027.
