This law requires all residential landlords to register their rental agreements with the Housing and Construction Authority's rental registry within 30 days of signing. Landlords who do not operate rental activities as a business may face administrative fines from January 2027 if they fail to register rental contracts or changes in rent amounts. The law also prohibits landlords from increasing rent during the first 12 months of fixed-term rental agreements. Tax benefits for rental income will only apply if rental contracts are registered and can only cover the rental of up to two apartments.
