Lögin framlengja starfsemi Afurðasjóðs Grindavíkurbæjar um eitt ár, til ársloka 2026. Sjóðurinn greiðir bætur fyrir mikið óbeint tjón á matvælum og fóðri sem verður vegna náttúruhamfara í Grindavík, þar með talið tjón vegna rýminga. Lögin ná til einstaklinga og fyrirtækja sem stunda skattskyldann atvinnurekstur í bænum. Framlengingu þykir nauðsynleg vegna áframhaldandi óvissu um jarðhræringar og eldgos á Reykjanesskaga.
This law extends the operation of the Grindavík Product Fund for one year, until the end of 2026.
