Þessi lög fjalla um viðurkenningu námsbrautarlýsinga framhaldsskóla og breyta kerfi þar sem ráðherra viðurkennir námsbrautir í stað fyrri staðfestingarferlis. Lögin heimila einnig framhaldsskólum að vinna saman í rekstri og veita ráðherra heimild til að gefa út viðmiðunarnámsbrautir.
This law concerns the recognition of study programme descriptions for upper secondary schools and changes the system so that the minister recognizes study programmes instead of the previous confirmation process. The law also allows upper secondary schools to collaborate in operations and gives the minister authority to issue reference curricula.
