Tryggvi Másson is an Icelandic politician born on May 20, 1993. He is a member of the Independence Party, Iceland's oldest and traditionally largest political party, which identifies with conservative ideology. The Independence Party has participated in 22 of the 31 governments formed since its establishment in 1929 and has led 15 of them. Tryggvi Másson represents a younger generation of politicians in Iceland and has begun his parliamentary career during a time of significant transformation in Icelandic society.
