Björn Valur Gíslason, fæddur 20. september 1959 í Ólafsfirði, er skipstjóri, stjórnmálamaður og tónlistarmaður. Hann sat á Alþingi fyrir Vinstrihreyfingunna grænt framboð í Norðausturkjördæmi á árunum 2009 til 2013 og gegndi þar hlutverki formanns þingflokks Vinstri grænna frá september 2011 til loka kjörtímabilsins. Björn Valur hefur verið áberandi í íslenskum innlendis- og utanríkismálum, þar á meðal sem fulltrúi í þingmannaþingi Öryggis- og samvinnustofnunar Evrópu frá árinu 2009.
Björn Valur Gíslason, born 20 September 1959 in Ólafsfjörður, is a ship captain, politician, and musician. He served as a Member of Parliament for the Left-Green Movement in the Northeast Constituency from 2009 to 2013 and held the position of parliamentary group leader for the Left-Greens from September 2011 until the end of the term. Björn Valur has been prominent in Icelandic domestic and international affairs, including serving as a member of the Icelandic Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly from 2009.
