Andrés Ingi Jónsson spyr sjávarútvegs- og landbúnaðarráðherra um hvalreka við Ísland og hvort mögulegt sé að tengja það við starfsemi manna eins og skipa, hljóðrannsóknir og hæi. Hann vill vita hversu oft hvalar hafa strönduð á undanförnum 10 árum og hvort rannsakað hefur verið hvort mannleg hljóðmengun eða skip geti valdið því að hvalar deyjast við strandir. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að ef maður veldur dauða hvalanna þarf að gera eitthvað í því. Svar við spurningum myndu segja okkur hvort það sé raunverulegt vandamál og hvort stjórnvöld hafa gert neitt til að rannsaka dánarorsök hvalanna.
