Hann vill vita fyrir hvaða verkefni þessi þjónusta var keypt, frá hvaða fyrirtækjum og hvað var greitt til hvers og eins, auk þess að fá nöfn stjórnarmanna fyrirtækjanna sem létu þessa þjónustu. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að það snýst um opinbera peningamálefni og hvort skattkrónur hafi verið notaðar á skynsamlegan hátt. Svörin myndu sýna okkur heildarútgjöldin, hvaða fyrirtæki fengu kaup og hvort um hugsanleg hagsmunaárekstra hafi verið að ræða.
Vilhjálmur Árnason asks the minister of tourism, industry and innovation about how much money the Competition Authority spent on hiring external consultants and contractors during 2010–2018. He wants to know what projects these services were used for, which companies provided them, and how much each was paid, as well as the names of board members of those companies. This matters because it concerns public spending and whether taxpayer money was used responsibly. The answers would reveal total spending, which firms were hired, and whether potential conflicts of interest existed.
