Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir spyr forsætisráðherra hvort þjóðaröryggisráð hafi gert skriflegar áætlanir um það hversu mikilvæg umhverfis- og öryggismál Íslands eru á norðurslóðum. Hún vill vita hvort ríkið hafi reiknað út hversu miklu Ísland ætti að leggja í alþjóðlegt samstarf og innlenda viðbúnað á þessu sviði, og hvað það myndi kosta. Svar við spurningunni myndi segja okkur hvort íslenska stjórn hefur stærðfærða og skipulega nálgun á stefnu sinni varðandi Árktís og hvort hún telji mikilvægt að setja fram skýrar áætlanir um þetta viðfangsefni.
