Þessi þingsályktunartillaga leggur til að ríkisstjórnin Íslands vinni með stjórnvöldum Færeyja og Grænlands að því að gera flugmiða fyrir ungmenni ódýrari á milli landanna þriggja. Tillagan var sett fram vegna þess að flugfargjöld eru mjög há og fá ungmenni tækifæri til að kynna sér nágrannaland sín og menningu þeirra, þó að löndin tengist sögulega hver við aðra. Ef tillagan stenst gætu ungmenni ferðast á milli Íslands, Færeyja og Grænlands með mun lægri verði, ýmist með því að flugfélög bjóði sérstakar ungmennamiða eða með því að stjórnvöld mynduðu sjóð sem myndi styrkja ferðalög ungmenna.
This parliamentary resolution proposes that Iceland's government work with the authorities in the Faroe Islands and Greenland to make flight tickets cheaper for young people traveling between the three countries. The resolution was put forward because flight fares are very high and few young people have the opportunity to visit and get to know their neighboring countries and cultures, despite the historical connection between these nations. If the resolution passes, young people could travel between Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland at much lower prices, either through special youth fares offered by airlines or through a fund created by the governments to support youth travel.
