Þessi þingsályktunartillaga leggur til að stofnað verði launasjóður fyrir íslenska toppíþróttamenn sem myndu fá mánaðarleg laun til framfærslu. Tillagan var lögð fram vegna þess að mörg toppiþróttafólk á Íslandi á erfitt með að framfæra sig meðan það æfir sig og keppir fyrir landið, og endalok æskuldarinnar leiðir oft til skulda og endalaust réttinda. Ef tillagan nær fram að ganga myndu íslenskir toppíþróttamenn fá stöðugt fé til að lifa af, sem myndi gera þeim kleift að einbeita sér fullu ásætu að íþróttinni án þess að þurfa að vinna annan vinnu. Þetta myndi einnig veita þeim betri réttindi eins og lífeyri, sjúkratryggingu og aðra vernd sem almennir starfsmenn njóta.
This parliamentary resolution proposes creating a salary fund for Icelandic elite athletes who would receive monthly wages for living expenses.
