Þingsályktunartillagan felur mennta- og menningarmálaráðherra að leggja fram frumvarp til laga um launasjóð fyrir íslenskt afreksíþróttafólk. Tilgangur sjóðsins er að auka fjárhagslegt öryggi afreksíþróttafólks í einstaklings- og hópíþróttum og gera því kleift að helga sig íþróttaiðkun sinni.
The parliamentary resolution directs the Minister of Education and Culture to present a bill establishing a salary fund for Icelandic elite athletes. The fund aims to increase financial security for elite athletes in both individual and team sports and enable them to dedicate themselves to their athletic pursuits.
