Frumvarpið leggur til að afnema strandveiðigjaldið sem nú nemur 50.000 kr. fyrir hvert strandveiðileyfi og Fiskistofa innheimtir. Þetta hefur áhrif á litlar útgerðir strandveiðibáta sem nú þurfa að greiða þetta gjald til viðbótar við almenn veiðigjöld.
The bill proposes to abolish the shore fishing fee of 50,000 ISK that is currently charged for each shore fishing license and collected by the Directorate of Fisheries. This affects small shore fishing boat operators who currently must pay this fee in addition to general fishing fees.
