Þingmenn leggja til að Ísland undirritaði og fullgildi valfrjálsa bókun við alþjóðasamning um efnahagsleg, félagsleg og menningarleg réttindi sem myndi koma á fót kærunefnd fyrir þessa réttindi. Þetta myndi veita íbúum Íslands aukna vernd og kærurétt varðandi efnahagsleg, félagsleg og menningarleg mannréttindi til sambærilegs alþjóðastofnunar.
MPs propose that Iceland should sign and ratify an optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which would establish a complaints committee for these rights. This would provide Icelandic residents with enhanced protection and the right to appeal regarding economic, social and cultural human rights to a comparable international body.
