Frumvarpið fjallar um að fela ríkisstjórninni að óska eftir viðræðum við ráðherraráð ESB um samstarf í gjaldeyrismálum og gagnkvæmar gengisvarnir til að tryggja stöðugleika gjaldeyrismarkaðar. Markmiðið er að styrkja samkeppnishæfni Íslands og efla nýsköpun með stöðugra gengi krónunnar.
