Ef þetta er satt, vill hann vita hvaða gögn um er að ræða, hvaða íslensku stofnanir tóku þátt í þessari ákvörðun, hver gaf leyfið, og hvort ríkisstjórnarfulltrúar vissu af því. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að ef Íslandi væru notuð fölsuð gögn myndu það draga í efa réttarfar og skaða dómshlutlægni. Svörin myndu segja okkur hvort íslenska stjórnvaldin hafi brotið lög sín eða komið fram á siðlaus hátt í samvinnu við Bandaríkin.
