Þessi þingsályktunartillaga felur í sér að forsætisráðherra skipi hóp fólks sem á að búa til heildstæða áætlun um stafræna þróun á Íslandi á næstu fimm árum. Tillagan var lögð fram vegna þess að Ísland er að dragast á eftir öðrum löndum þegar kemur að því hvernig nýta á stafræna tækni í atvinnulífinu, á vinnumarkaði og almennt meðal fólks. Hættan er sú að landsmenn skiptist í tvo hópa - þá sem kunna að nota stafræna tækni og þá sem geta það ekki - og það geti skapað ójöfnuð og veikað samkeppnishæfni okkar. Ef tillagan nær fram myndu við fá betri áætlun um hvernig bæta má stafræna þekkingu fólks, stærðu fyrirtæki, og úrbæta netöryggismál og gagnanotkun. Þetta myndi hjálpa Íslandi að halda samkeppnishæfni sinni í breyttum heimi og tryggja að fleiri geti nýtt sér tækifæri stafrænnar þróunar.
This parliamentary resolution proposes that the Prime Minister appoint a task force to create a comprehensive digital development plan for Iceland over the next five years.
