Þessi þingsályktunartillaga felur í sér að forsætisráðherra og dómsmálaráðherra fái umboð til að rannsaka hvort börn hafi verið sett á einkaheimili af stjórnvöldum og hvort það sé ástæða til að kanna það nærari. This parliamentary resolution proposes that the Prime Minister and Minister of Justice be tasked with investigating whether children were placed by authorities in private homes and whether there is reason to examine this more closely. The resolution was put forward because reports emerged in 2007 about violence and mistreatment at institutions and homes where the state placed children, and investigations have been conducted into the operations of many such facilities. If passed, the authorities would need to examine whether there is a need for an investigation into private homes that provide placement services for children and would report their findings to Parliament by the end of May 2021.
