Skýrslan fjallar um starfsemi Íslandsdeildar ÖSE-þingsins árið 2020 og hvernig heimsfaraldur kórónuveiru hafði áhrif á starf þingsins. Meginumræður þess árs snéru að áskorunum faraldursins, vopnuðum átökum í Nagorno-Karabakh og mótmælum í Hvíta-Rússlandi. Ársfundur þingsins var aflýst vegna sóttvarna, sem kom í veg fyrir að algengar athafnir eins og samþykkt ályktana og kosning leiðtoga gætu fram farið. Skýrslan var lögð fram til að upplýsa Alþingi um starfsemi og áskoranir Íslandsdeildarinnar á slærri tíma.
