Hún vill vita hvernig peningarnir voru teknir og hvort þeir nýttust rétt, til dæmis hvort háskólar nýttu styrki til að keppa við einkakennslufyrirtæki. Hanna Katrín Friðriksson asks the minister of education about 500 million krónar that the government gave universities in 2020 to offer summer courses. She wants to know how the money was used and whether it was spent appropriately, for example whether universities used the grants to compete with private educational companies. The answers would reveal whether the government monitored that the money was used responsibly and whether the government followed rules on state aid set by ESA (the EFTA Surveillance Authority).
