Þessi þingsályktunartillaga felur í sér endurskoðaða skipulagsstefnu fyrir Ísland frá 2015 til 2026. Tillagan setur fram reglur um hvernig byggja á og nýta land á miðhálendi, dreifbýli, við strandsvæði og á hafi, en einnig um að taka tillit til loftslagsbreytinga og landslagsverndar. Tillagan var lögð fram vegna þess að stjórnvöld vilja tryggja að framtíðaruppbygging á Íslandi sé sjálfbær, sveigjanleg og stuðli að góðum lífskjörum fólks um allan landið. Ef tillagan nær fram að ganga myndu stjórnsýslustofnanir verða að fylgja þessari stefnu þegar þær taka ákvarðanir um skipulagsmál og myndu ný gagnagátt og kortavefur um leyfi á haf- og strandsvæðum opnast árið 2022.
This parliamentary resolution proposes a revised national planning strategy for Iceland from 2015 to 2026. The proposal sets out rules for how to build and use land on the highlands, in rural areas, at coastal zones, and at sea, while also considering climate change and landscape protection. The resolution was put forward because the government wants to ensure that future development in Iceland is sustainable, flexible, and improves living standards for people across the country. If passed, government agencies would be required to follow this strategy when making planning decisions, and a new data portal and map viewer for marine and coastal permits would open in 2022.
