Þessi þingsályktunartillaga felur í sér að stofna starfshóp sem á að skipuleggja byggingu nýrra skrifstofuhúsa í Reykjanesbæ fyrir opinberar stofnanir og fyrirtæki sem starfa þar nú þegar. Tillagan var lögð fram vegna þess að talið var að með því að samþjappa starfsemi margra aðila á einum stað myndu stofnanirnar spara peninga og auka hagkvæmni með því að deila eldisetrumum, fundarherbergjum og öðrum sameiginlegum rýmum. Ef tillagan nær fram að ganga myndu ríkisstofnanir og fyrirtækin geta flutt úr Flugstöðinni og fengið nýjar skrifstofur sem eru endurkostnaðarsamlegar, og það myndi einnig losa pláss á flugstöðinni fyrir flugutengda starfsemi sem þarf meira rými.
This parliamentary resolution proposes establishing a working group to plan the construction of new office buildings in Reykjanesbær for public institutions and companies that currently operate in the area. The proposal was put forward because it was believed that bringing multiple organizations together in one location would save money and increase efficiency by sharing dining facilities, meeting rooms, and other shared spaces. If the resolution passes, government agencies and companies could move out of the Airport Terminal and get new, cost-effective offices, which would also free up space in the terminal for aviation-related businesses that need more room to expand.
