Þessi þingsályktunartillaga leggur til að búið verði til ný lög um skráða sambúð sem myndu leyfa fleiri en tveimur aðilum að skrá sig sem sambýlisfólk. Hún var lögð fram vegna þess að núverandi kerfi leyfir aðeins tveimur einstaklingum að skrá sig saman og engin heildarlög gilda um sambúð fleiri aðila. Tillagan viðurkennir að fólk myndar mismunandi gerðir sambanda með vinir, ættingjum og öðrum sem ekki eru endilega giftir, og að slík sambúð á að geta verið með sömu lagalegum réttindum og tvíkosta sambúðir. Ef tillagan nær fram að ganga myndu heildarlög koma til um réttindi og skyldur slíkra sambúða, til dæmis varðandi börn, eignir og aðra réttarflokkun.
This parliamentary resolution proposes creating new comprehensive laws on registered cohabitation that would allow more than two people to register as cohabiting partners. It was put forward because the current system only allows two individuals to register together and there are no complete laws governing cohabitation of more people. The resolution recognizes that people form different kinds of relationships with friends, relatives, and others who are not necessarily married, and that such cohabitation should have the same legal rights as two-person partnerships.
