Ásthildur Lóa Þórsdóttir spyr matvælaráðherra hvort allt samskipti hans og ráðuneytisins við hagsmunagæsluaðila hafi verið skráð samkvæmt lögum nr. 64/2020 um varnarir gegn hagsmunaárekstrum. Hún vill vita hvort ráðuneytið hafi athugað að hagsmunagæsluaðilar væru skráðir áður en þeir reyndu að hafa áhrif á stjórnvöld, og hvort samskipti hafi átt sér stað við ófanga hagsmunagæsluaðila. Svörin myndu sýna hvort ráðuneytið hlýðir gegnsæilegu og reglulegum samskiptum við hagsmunaaðila sem standa fyrir sérhagsmuna, og hvort það fylgi lögum um að dregið sé úr spillingu og óviðhlítnum áhrifum.
MP Ásthildur Lóa Þórsdóttir asks the Food Minister whether all communications between the ministry and lobbyists have been registered as required by Iceland's anti-conflict-of-interest law (nr. 64/2020). She wants to know if the ministry verified that lobbyists were officially registered before they tried to influence government decisions, and whether it communicated with unregistered lobbyists. The answers would reveal whether the ministry follows transparent and lawful practices in dealing with interest groups, and whether it complies with regulations designed to reduce corruption and undisclosed influence.
