Ásthildi Lóu Þórsdóttur spyr innviðaráðherra um einstaklinga sem eiga ekki íbúðarhúsnæði á Íslandi. Hún vill vita hversu margir fullorðnir Íslendingar hafa aldrei átt húsnæði og hversu margir hafa misst húsnæði sitt og hafa verið án þess í þrjú eða fimm ár. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að húsnæðisvandi og heimilisleysi eru stórvætleg samfélagsvandamál sem geta áhrif á heilsu, atvinnu og lífsgæði fólks. Svörin myndu gefa okkur betri skilning á umfangi húsnæðisvandans og hjálpa til við að móta betri stefnu til að leysa þau vandamál.
